Today, I decided to see just how far I could push the boundaries…so we did a repeat outing. Hunter loves hiking, so we went back to the Blue Hills for more outdoors activities. Hiking around, using a compass, eating Trader Joe’s granola bars (of course), and exploring areas that (as I excitedly explained to Hunter) have never been traversed by another human…because we deviated from the trail. Adventure. I felt like an Indiana Jones, with Hunter yelling “Indy, Indy”. We may have even discovered a tiger lair.
OK, perhaps we were just using our imagination, but man, a little adventure is awesome.
When we were done, we drove back to my town, and got some icecream from the local icecream shop. My daughter and fiancé then met us, and we all took a walk through the local historical graveyard. I know this sounds kind of morbid, but its more cool than morbid. As we ran around (literally), we passed by gravestones dating all the way back to the Revolutionary War!! How cool!
