Last week, I got married. It was one of the happiest days of my life. My best friend and I became husband and wife. It was also our 6-yr anniversary of our first date. My daughter, who gained a new mother, was as happy as I was. It was perfect.
And of course, Hunter, my Little Brother, was a part of this special day.
As a groomsman, Hunter was the first person to walk down the aisle. He carried a sign that read “HERE COMES THE GROOM”. Then he sat down in the front row.
My daughter then walked me down the aisle, arm-in-arm, and then she took a seat next to Hunter. Then the rest of the wedding party (all children) walked down, and finally my beautiful bride walked down the aisle to join me at the altar. It was an emotional, and absolutely magical day.
My Big Brother, Paul, was there of course. It was the first time that he met Hunter. Paul and I have been matched since I was 9 years old - 28 years and going strong (blog posting about Paul and me)! Hunter and I have been matched for almost 1 year. It was so cool to be there with my Big and my Little.
Hunter, who is normally shy around new people, spent the day running around like a mad-man with my daughter, and my nieces and nephews. At the end of the day (an 8-hr day for Hunter), he said “awww, do I have to go now?”. He had a blast. Everyone had a blast.
For so many reasons, my wedding was just perfect.
