Yup, I would say that every single Big-Little couple goes bowling at some point. Hunter and I did this on our 5th outing. We took advantage of the Big Brother discount, and headed to King’s Bowling in Dedham. I was petrified that Hunter would drop one of the huge balls on his foot or something, but there were no tragedies or accidents.
There was, however, a family a few lanes down (with no one in between us). A dad, mom, and 3 kids. They were all laughing, high-fiving, and having a great time. And I could see Hunter look at them from time to time…with what looked like jealousy in his eyes, with a touch of sadness.
But, we had a fantastic time. I am proud to be a Big Brother, because I get to cheer up such a sweet little kid, who sometimes needs just a little cheering up.
