Today was Valentine’s Day. We planned on going to the new SpongeBob Movie. I’ve never seen SpongeBob, so I thought I was in for a treat. However, bad planning on my part…the movie was sold out. Hunter handled this like a champ. I quickly hopped on my phone to find another movie theatre that could work, but without success. So, we made a Plan B.
We decided to go to the library and read a book together. But first, we went to the grocery store to get all kinds of “reading snacks”. Armed with chocolate milk, popcorn, and cheez-its, we entered the library…at 10:30am. The food was in my backpack. First, we found a great book – "Spirit Animals", then got a table in the library’s court yard.
I read to Hunter, and we both gorged on snacks. We literally made ourselves sick. It was great.
But what was even better, is that Hunter learned that when life doesn’t work out, we quickly and happily figure out a Plan B. We just dealt with it. I was very proud of Hunter.
