Hunter and I went to the annual Big Brother Big Sister Holiday Party. It was at this party last year that I decided to become a Big. So, coming this year with Hunter really completes a full circle. We had a blast. The party was at the Boston University Fitness Center. There was a rock wall, cookie decorating, an obstacle course, basketball, pizza and cookies. And even a few raffles – 2 lucky matches got to do the Top 40 countdown with Kiss 108. Would’ve been awesome, but we didn’t win.
As we were leaving, I mentioned to Hunter that I went to this party last year. He was confused: “they had this party last year?”. I told him that the party is every year. To this he stopped and said “every year? This party is every year? Can we go next year?”. I laughed. Yes Hunter, we can go next year. He was happy.
Then, I took him to my all-time favorite chocolate place in the world – L.A. Burdick Chocolate. This place has the best hot chocolate in the world. It’s drinking chocolate, not “hot chocolate”. Very intense and very adult. And amazing. I would HIGHLY recommend it. They also have chocolate mice, chocolate penguins, chocolate cigars, and lots of other amazing chocolate treats.
When I brought Hunter home, he gave me the best high five ever. Definitely a milestone.
